Great Article, funny thing was that just last night I as sleeping and I had an idea pop into my head. I raced to my office and wrote down the idea on my notepad. Always write things down! You never know what will come of the idea!

I am a junior college and have seen so many of my friends start college with one dream and by the time they applied to a major, they have completely switched. I have found accounting/business to be effective because you get a great foundation. You don’t need to enter the accounting world, but you can use the financial foundation to really do anything. Freelance writing is also a great source of extra revenue I have found right now through hubpages

One of the toughest lessons is definitely ‘not losing your temper’. It can be so frustrating when someone attempts to tear down something you’ve created.

One good trick is to never respond when you first see a negative comment. Give yourself a few hours (or even a day) to cool down. Your brain will fire off a lot of angry comebacks, but you have to wait for those to subside and then create a response that is more constructive.

I totally agree that it is shocking/surprising how many small biz owners just don’t get it when it comes to having a web presence. Or if they do have a website, it is HORRIBLE!

For example, I am constantly amazed how many restaurants fail to have a website, and if they do, chances are they fail to publish their menu online. I mean, how much more basic is it than to expect to be able to find a restaurant’s menu online to check them out before trying them out? I am hard pressed to try a new place to eat if I can’t see their menu online.

The list goes on and on and on and on. Makes me want to bang my head against the wall and wonder why entrepreneurs just don’t get it!
